At the threshold of this piece, a large steel door stands as a boundary to be crossed. Seven miniature houses are raised on stilts and situated at a height at which the onlooker can peer into them. Placed in each house is a different child's toy. The re-used material from which the houses are made and the reminiscent quality of the childhood objects, evoke the notion of home, belonging, security and entrapment, but also a sense of time, memories or history.
