A challenging piece which encourages the visitor to consider the diversity of our local, rural communities. These two strong concrete objects
display on three sides photographic images of a young black male - Faisal himself. Photo-etched on to stainless steel, the viewer's own image is
partially reflected. The piece is intended to be a confrontation in both its arrangement and subject matter. In wintertime...

To celebrate the launch of this work, a run of 500 paperback books were printed
with funds from the Arts Council of England First Time Publication grant.
The book is an exploration of Faisal
Abdu'Allah's photography and chronicles the development of the sculpture from inception through to construction.
