NO LONGER IN SITU. As part of the Chiltern Sculpture Trust's undergraduate and recent graduate programme, recent arts graduate Jacqui Pearce installed this temporary work on the trail in time for our October 2005 open day.
Below is some text by the artist to accompany the work. The wedding dress is strongly symbolic for the artist. What responses does this work provoke in you?

The Beautiful Dress
I hang suspended upon the tree of living wood
and observe all that is around.
I have new perspective.
I see things differently.
I may seem strange and disconcerting to you,
Yet I am at peace and untroubled.
I challenge you, loose the sure footing of your
foundation, suspend your concrete reality,
observe all that is around you,
but from a new perspective.
