Sited at the start of an avenue of trees,
the title of this work refers to Bram's observations and feelings related to contemporary land use and urban
development of the greenbelt. It refers most directly to the proximity of the M40 motorway to this site.
The sculpture is a bleak comment on our species ever increasing demands on the natural environment,
resulting in its destruction.
Ironically, in creating this road-like work he has sacrificed some of the very thing the piece is
intended to encourage people to save.

The collection of artworks at the Chiltern Sculpture Trail is frequently changed,
thus you may often see pieces in an unfinished or incomplete state.
Visitors to the Trail may see warning notices
requesting that they do not disturb works-in-progress,
and for their own safety not to enter cordoned-off areas of the wood.
